![]() ![]() That being said, counting as luxury quarters is probably not one of them. In terms of improvements, one thing that is likely to happen is that - as it is an experimental prototype - it will continue to improve as plot progresses, and gain additional abilities. So don't expect a huge range or anything). (caveat: Due to the way scanner power works, them being roughly double the power means that they have roughly a quarter more range. Anyway, just try scanning things like normal with the default keys, and they should work just fine. It does have built in tactical and outfit scanners at a roughly double the power of human equivalents (slightly less than double tactical scanner, and exactly double outfit scanner). A starling can easily exceed it in every respect except visiting gas giants. ![]() That being said, I agree - it isn't really a useful ship even by that point. We are not even close to the quarter mark in the Remnant story. I realize that the penguin feels like a late-game acquisition, but the current Remnant missions are barely getting started on their story. In continuous/nightly builds all the gas giants in the Remnant systems are also visitable) Note: In official releases, the gas giants in Nenia are the only visitable gas giants in the game. (if you aren't on a continuous/nightly build - the gascraft has been renamed the puffin). It's basic purpose is to be an upgraded and much more useful puffin. If you can't land on the gas giants in Nenia while flying it, then there that is a bug. That being said, I do want them to be cool things that people enjoy having. So I'm not going to gate major content behind either one of them, nor make either one of them a "must have" sort of thing. Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate hearing what people think of it.įirst off, the Penguin (and the Void Rifle) are designed to be easter eggs that reward people who just want to go hang out with the void sprites *without* having a mission telling them to go do so. ![]()
